The neighbor’s cat
comes and visits
me sometimes.

We don’t
talk much
or get very
close to
each other.

Tonight he came
and jumped on the table
outside my window
on the porch and
looked in at
me.

I opened the window
a crack and blew
smoke out at
him.

He sneezed a couple
times and pawed his
face and then
jumped
away.

He will keep
coming back
though I don’t
feed him or
accept him.

He’s funny that
way.

Stupid
maybe.
