Carmen Fierra Sunday Morning by David Klein
Put a haggard dollar in his cup
This Monte shill blows
Mumbo and frozen
Breath to fog a mirror
For you to scratch your ancient
Hieroglyphs of terror and despair
Crawls on his knees to assemble a face
From undigested crumbs
Crawl on your knees among the crumbs
Fling your incantations to the mirrored heavens
Assemble a face in a sprawl of stars
See if I care
