POETRY / im not okay with this / sterling-elizabeth arcadia

with how much netflix hates dykes
so much they cancel three queer shows a quarter

with how dark it is outside these days
or how the shadows keep encroaching on my point of view

its already cold enough outside
the squirrels dont need to keep dying

i dont want to see that shit
& i dont even like squirrels!

last week my ex returned my bike with both tires popped &
that was just the cherry on top

i swear all i wanted to do was kiss gray
grab a coffee then speed down the 2

but the asshole behind me had other plans
so i ended up in skaneateles with a spare tire plus a little change

will someone please pick me up & drive me back to boston
will someone please give me a hug & keep netflix from cancelling my show

i know im a dyke but its been a hell of a week
& even for them that would be so uncool
