My hope is to write poems that are crafted to be heavy with emotion, and rich in description and meaning.  The main goal is to remind the reader that—with art—we are not alone in our feelings, in our sentiments, and in our place in the world.  More recently, I have come to terms with being a “poet-of-place,” and have been exploring the different ways in which the many sights and sounds of Los Angeles can enrich my pieces and further add to the literary history of this grand city.

Most of the pieces presented here are a brief departure from my poet-of-place poems, and a return to my love of popular culture, as most of these pieces will be included in my next chapbook, which will revolve around music.
