Her period blood
like a tight watch band
can’t wait to get it off
his arm, wrist, palm
if you love the liquid
then love all of her
he likes to say
you are so wet for me
when it’s the right
kind of wet
and who is she kidding
it turns her on too but
when it’s red and iron
smelling and rust colored
and sludge week he walks
briskly to the bathroom
doesn’t run because
that would be rude
like it’s body rot, like
it’s a disease to catch
not part of the fucking,
the desire, the solubility
of bodies and thighs
and embrace and moan
rinse that plague off asshole
the moon is rising:
it’s too late for you
